Scotland captain Kathryn Bryce has been named ICC Women’s Player of the Month for April 2025. Her outstanding all-round performance in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in Pakistan helped her win the award over West Indies captain Hayley Matthews and Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana.

Bryce scored 293 runs in five matches at an average of 73.25. Her top innings included 91 against Pakistan, 60 against Thailand, and a superb 131 not out versus Ireland—the highest score in the tournament. She also took six wickets and was named Player of the Tournament, even though Scotland did not qualify for the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup.

In her reaction, Bryce said it was an honour to win and special to be chosen by the global cricket community. She praised her team’s efforts, saying they showed growth in a format they rarely play.

Bryce also praised the high standard of the tournament and said it was exciting to be part of such close and competitive matches. She hopes Scotland can build on their strong performance.
