Nikola Jokic made NBA history with a record-breaking 61-point triple-double, but the Denver Nuggets fell 140-139 in overtime to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Jokic added 10 rebounds and 10 assists, surpassing Russell Westbrook’s 57-point triple-double from 2017.

Despite leading 139-138 in the final moments, the Nuggets couldn’t close out the game. Russell Westbrook missed a layup with 10 seconds left, then fouled Nickeil Alexander-Walker on a last-second three-point attempt. Alexander-Walker sank two free throws, sealing the Timberwolves’ victory.

Minnesota’s win came despite missing key players Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo due to suspensions. The Timberwolves moved up to seventh in the Western Conference, while Denver stayed in third.

In another standout performance, Golden State’s Stephen Curry delivered a vintage display, scoring 52 points with 12 three-pointers in a 134-125 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Curry’s performance moved him into a tie with Damian Lillard for the sixth-most 50-point games in NBA history (15).

Already the league’s all-time leader in three-pointers, Curry also climbed into the NBA’s top 25 all-time scorers. He now eyes Reggie Miller at No. 24.

The Warriors’ win moved them into fifth place in the Western Conference, strengthening their playoff position.
