Mumbai is all set to host the Indian Open, a PSA (Professional Squash Association) event, from March 24 to 28 at the Bombay Gymkhana. Featuring a prize purse of USD 40,000, this tournament will bring together leading Indian players like Ramit Tandon, Anahat Singh, Velavan Senthilkumar, Veer Chotrani, and Akanksha Salunkhe, along with international players from Egypt, Canada, Malaysia, and Japan.

After a gap of six years, a major squash tournament returns to India, the last being the CCI International in 2018. This edition of the Indian Open will be part of the PSA World Events under the Copper category, following PSA’s new tournament format introduced in August 2024.

To make the event even more exciting for fans, a full-glass outdoor court has been specially set up for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final matches.

India No.1 Ramit Tandon shared his excitement, saying, "It's always special to compete at home, and having a PSA event like the Indian Open in India is a huge boost for the sport."

PSA CEO Alex Gough also praised the event, saying, "Hosting world-class events on home soil not only helps Indian players compete at the highest level but also strengthens the squash ecosystem."

The Indian Open aims to promote squash in India, inspire young talent, and add to the excitement ahead of the sport’s Olympic debut at LA28.
