Indian athletes win seven medals in Vietnam

Indian athletes won seven medals at the Vietnam Pickleball Open Cup 2025 held in Ho Chi Minh City. The medals include two gold, three silver, and two bronze. All medals were won in the open category. The tournament will continue till Sunday with matches in beginner and intermediate levels.
The Indian team impressed international audiences with their strong performances. Vrushali Thakare was the top performer. She won gold in the Open Women’s Doubles with Tyak Karina. She also earned a silver and a bronze in the Open Mixed Doubles Pro with Vanshik Kapadia.
Mayur Patil also performed well, winning gold in Men’s Open Doubles and silver in Mixed Open Doubles. Vanshik Kapadia added another silver in the Open Men’s Doubles Pro. Kuldip Mahajan earned a bronze in the same category.
Arvind Prabhoo, President of the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), praised the team. He said their success shows how Indian players are growing stronger in international competitions. He added that AIPA will continue to support players and promote pickleball across India.
AIPA stated that this win shows India’s rising status in global pickleball. The association is working to spread the sport, support young players, and prepare athletes to compete at higher levels in the future.
