India's young boxers are shining at the Asian U-15 and U-17 Boxing Championships in Amman, Jordan. On Day 2 of the tournament, Indian players won three strong matches. This event is supported by the Olympic Council of Asia and World Boxing.

Tikam Singh, who won gold at the 2024 School Games, fought in the 52kg category. He beat Ali Almesmari from the UAE. The referee stopped the fight in the third round. In the 54kg group, Udham Singh defeated Iran’s Mohammadparsa with a 5-0 win. Rahul Gariya, fighting in the 57kg category, won his match against Chinese Taipei’s Li Shou-Xun in the first round. His win was also by referee stoppage.

India had already started strong on Day 1. Hardik Dahiya (43kg) and Rudraksh Singh (46kg) both won their opening matches.

India has sent a big team to the tournament — 56 boxers in total. The team has 30 players in the U-15 group and 26 in the U-17 group. Some well-known names include Ravi Sihag, a past bronze winner, and Trushna Mohite, a national champion.

Other promising players are Sahil Duhan, Devansh, Samiksha Singh, Anshika, and Khushi Chand. All of them have won medals in earlier championships.

India hopes to win more medals in this big boxing event.
