India to Host World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2025

The Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) officially launched the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2025, set to be held from March 11 to 13 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. This three-day event will feature over 90 competitions, with elite para-athletes from 20 countries, including Germany, Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
The official logo of the event, unveiled on Tuesday, is a tribute to India's rich cultural heritage and sporting excellence. It incorporates traditional Indian instruments like the sitar, drum, and flute, symbolizing artistic expression. The logo also highlights para-athletic sports such as wheelchair racing, javelin throw, and running, representing inclusivity and the competitive spirit. Additionally, elements of yoga and athletic movements reflect India's emphasis on holistic well-being and discipline.
PCI President Devendra Jhajharia expressed excitement about hosting the event, stating, "The World Para Athletics Grand Prix New Delhi 2025 is not just about competition—it is a celebration of resilience, inclusivity, and excellence."
The event will feature sprints, middle-distance races, jumps, and throws, providing Indian para-athletes a valuable opportunity to compete on home soil against world-class athletes, further inspiring the nation’s sporting community.
