India's Physical Disability Cricket Team claimed a clean 5-0 series win over Sri Lanka in the PD Deepaka Lohia Memorial Trophy 2025. The matches were held from April 26 to May 5 at Kini Cricket Ground in Bengaluru, drawing support from fans, sponsors, and advocates for disability inclusion in sports. In the final match, India chose to bat first and posted 191/5 in 20 overs. Their bowlers then dismissed Sri Lanka for just 88 runs in 15.1 overs, sealing a dominant victory. Narendra Mangore was named Man of the Match, while Ravindra Sante earned Man of the Series for his consistent performances. India received a cash prize of ₹2,00,000 and the champions’ trophy. Sri Lanka, recognized for their participation and spirit, received ₹50,000. The award ceremony featured dignitaries from the Gopalan Group and Wilspoke Sports, showing growing corporate support for inclusive sports.

DCCI General Secretary Ravi Kant Chauhan praised the players’ dedication, saying, This win reflects the grit and excellence of our team. It's not just a victory, but a step towards making disability sports mainstream in India.Joint Secretary Sqd. Ldr. Abhai Pratap Singh highlighted the tournament's message of equality and opportunity. Nishanth AJ from Wilspoke added, Sport should include everyone. This series proves that differently-abled athletes are equally inspiring and talented. The series marks a major milestone for disability cricket in South Asia and underscores India's growing leadership in inclusive sports.
