India-Bangladesh Blind T20 Series set to begin

The Men’s Bilateral T20 Cricket Series for the Blind 2025 between India and Bangladesh will take place at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Bengaluru, from February 22 to 27. The Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) has announced an 18-member squad, with eight players making their international debut.

The tournament will feature five T20 matches. The inaugural ceremony will be held on February 22 at 9:30 AM, followed by the first match at 10:30 AM. After a rest day on February 23, the remaining matches will take place on February 24, 25, 26, and 27, all starting at 10:00 AM at MAHE, Bengaluru.

CABI President Buse Gowda emphasized the importance of international exposure, stating that “National tournaments, supported by IndusInd Bank, have helped create opportunities for emerging players.”

Indian team captain Durga Rao Tompaki expressed his excitement, saying, “Representing the country is every cricketer’s dream, and I congratulate the new players on reaching this milestone.”

CABI Chairman Mahantesh G. Kivadasannavar praised the rapid growth of blind cricket in India, noting that platforms like these help players gain experience and inspire future generations.

With strong participation and fresh talent, the series is expected to be a thrilling competition, further strengthening India’s blind cricket ecosystem.
