Five Indian golfers advance in Czech Ladies Open

Amandeep Drall led a strong Indian showing at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open, finishing tied 12th after two rounds. Despite a tough start in her second round, she birdied the final two holes to post an even-par 72, following her superb 8-under 64 in round one.
She was joined by four other Indians who made the cut: Hitaashee Bakshi (6-under, T-32), Diksha Dagar, Tvesa Malik, and Sneha Singh, all tied at 61st. A total of 71 players, including two amateurs, progressed to the final round.
Swiss golfer Kim Metraux surged into the lead with a career-best 9-under 63, reaching 13-under overall. Metraux’s round included nine birdies, highlighted by three in a row on holes 10 to 12. Her husband Rodolphe served as her caddie during the impressive performance.
England’s rookie Esme Hamilton followed in second place after repeating her first-round 66. Tied for third at 10-under are Spanish players Nuria Iturrioz and Luna Sobron Galmes, alongside 16-year-old New Zealander Anna Huang.
Among the Indian golfers, Hitaashee Bakshi carded a steady 2-under 70 in round two. Diksha Dagar shot a 71, mixing four birdies with three bogeys. Tvesa Malik made key birdies on two of her last three holes, while Sneha Singh birdied three of her final five to secure her place.
The Indian contingent’s fighting spirit helped them stay in contention, setting up an exciting final round.
