Eyman Fatima joins Pakistan T20I squad

Pakistan has picked a 15-player squad for their T20I series against Ireland, with Fatima Sana set to lead. The big news is the inclusion of young batter Eyman Fatima, who has been chosen for the first time.

Eyman earned her place after a strong showing in the National Women’s T20 Tournament in May. She scored 287 runs in eight games, hitting at a fast rate of 155.14. The 2023 U19 World Cup player now steps up to the senior level.

The team includes experienced players like Muneeba Ali, Aliya Riaz, and Diana Baig, along with new faces. Nashra Sundhu and Tuba Hassan will handle spin bowling, while Waheeda Akhtar and Sadia Iqbal lead the pace attack.

The three matches will be played at Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin on August 6, 8, and 10. A training camp is ongoing in Karachi and ends July 27. The last T20I series between the teams was in 2022, where Ireland won 2-1.
