Maharashtra’s Diksha Yadav made a strong mark at the Khelo India Beach Games 2025 by winning two gold medals in open sea swimming. The event took place at Ghoghla Beach in Diu. Diksha won gold in both the 10km and 5km races held on Thursday morning.

The 19-year-old swimmer finished the 5km race in 1 hour, 10 minutes, and 12 seconds. After her win, she said all her hard work had paid off. “The water was calm, which helped me swim smoothly. This is a big moment for me,” she said. Diksha began swimming when she was in Class 10 and trains at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune. She has been inspired by famous American swimmer Katie Ledecky. This is only her second year competing in open water swimming.
