Indian golfer Diksha Dagar delivered a strong performance at the Tenerife Women’s Open, adding a second-round 3-under 69 to her opening 70. With a total of 5-under par, she is tied for third place, just four shots behind Ireland’s Lauren Walsh, who leads at 9-under (67-68) at Abama Golf.

Diksha began her round with a birdie on the third, followed by a bogey on the fifth, which she quickly recovered with birdies on the sixth and ninth. On the back nine, she carded birdies on the 11th and 12th, but a double bogey on the 16th momentarily derailed her momentum. However, she bounced back with a birdie on the 17th, finishing with six birdies overall.

Speaking after the round, the two-time Ladies European Tour (LET) winner credited her father for his support as caddie: “He’s doing a great job reading greens. We discussed a lot, and because of him, I got good birdie chances. This course is really challenging for caddies.” Avani Prashanth had a mixed day, carding a 3-over 75 and slipping to tied-43rd. After a promising start with three birdies in the first six holes, a quadruple bogey on the 13th cost her heavily. Tvesa Malik (73-75), Hitaashee Bakshi (72-76), and Sneha Singh (77-79) missed the cut, set at 3-over par. Shannon Tan of Singapore is second with a 7-under total (71-66), while Order of Merit leader Mimi Rhodes is tied 20th at 1-under after rounds of 70 and 73.
