Veteran Australian cricketer David Warner has joined the Seattle Orcas for the upcoming Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 season, marking his debut in the USA-based league. The 37-year-old, known for his aggressive batting style, will feature in the tournament scheduled from June 12 to July 13.

Despite going unsold in the IPL 2025 auction, Warner remains in form, captaining Karachi Kings in the PSL and helping Sydney Thunder reach the Big Bash League final. He also played a key role in Dubai Capitals’ ILT20 title win earlier this year.

Warner has scored 12,956 runs in 401 T20 matches, boasting a strike rate of 140.27. He brings experience and firepower to a Seattle side that struggled last year, finishing bottom with only one win.

The Orcas had a strong 2023 debut but fell short in 2024. They hope Warner’s leadership and skill will spark a turnaround this season.

In good news for fans, Warner’s MLC stint won’t overlap with The Hundred, allowing him to also play for London Spirit in England’s 100-ball competition later this year.
