The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 has become the most-watched edition in the tournament’s history. Held in Pakistan and the UAE from February 19 to March 9, it recorded 368 billion global viewing minutes—a 19% jump from 2017.

The final between India and New Zealand in Dubai broke records with 65.3 billion live viewing minutes, making it the most-watched Champions Trophy match ever. It now ranks third in global ICC match viewership, behind two matches from the 2023 Cricket World Cup.

Australia saw a 65% rise in viewership from 2017. In Pakistan, where expectations were high, viewing minutes still increased by 24% despite the team not winning. India’s coverage was bolstered by JioStar, broadcasting in nine languages across 29 feeds, helping deepen fan engagement.

Amazon Prime Video had its highest-ever ICC event viewership in India, while Willow TV in the U.S. saw significant growth despite inconvenient time zones.

The Champions Trophy also recorded 308 million viewing minutes per over—the highest for any ICC event. These figures underline cricket’s expanding reach and the effectiveness of digital and multilingual broadcasts.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah said the success shows cricket’s growing appeal and praised broadcast partners for reaching wider audiences.
