Bracewell enters top 5 All-Rounders list
Dubai
New Zealand’s stand-in captain Michael Bracewell has broken into the top five of the ICC Men’s All-Rounder Rankings after his stellar performance in the final ODI against Pakistan. Bracewell’s 59 off 40 balls and a wicket in the third ODI helped New Zealand complete a 3-0 clean sweep.
Bracewell moved up two places to fifth in the all-rounder rankings with 246 points, becoming New Zealand’s highest-ranked all-rounder. His teammate Mitchell Santner now sits sixth. Bracewell also jumped 12 spots to 89th in the batting rankings and held firm at 18th in bowling.
In the third ODI, New Zealand posted 264/8 in 42 overs, thanks to Bracewell’s aggressive knock that included a four and six sixes. He later dismissed Faheem Ashraf, finishing with 1/39 in eight overs. Ben Sears, who took five wickets in the same match and 10 across the series, earned Player of the Series and soared 64 spots in the bowling rankings to enter the top 100.
In the batting rankings
India’s Shubman Gill maintained his No. 1 position, followed by Babar Azam at second and Rohit Sharma at third. Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan climbed two spots to 21st after steady performances in the series.
While there were no major changes at the top of the ODI batting list, Bracewell’s rise adds depth to New Zealand’s all-rounder strength. The series victory and individual performances boosted the Black Caps’ presence across rankings.
