Anush Agarwalla wins big at German event
Hofgeismar
Indian dressage rider Anush Agarwalla won the Jubilaumsturnier Hofgeismar Open, riding his young mare Floriana to a stunning first-place finish. Scoring 69.841%, this is the pair’s first win at the challenging S* level and only their second competition together at this level.
Anush, known for breaking new ground in Indian equestrian sport, expressed his excitement on social media: “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Second S ever and our first win! Floriana is only 7 years old—what a future ahead!”
In a press release, Anush said, “I’m incredibly proud of Floriana. She showed maturity beyond her years. Winning here means a lot to us. I’m very thankful to Anna Scholermann for her guidance and belief in us. This is just the beginning.”
This win is another major step in Anush’s journey. He previously made history as one of India’s first Olympic equestrians and continues to inspire young riders across the country. His determination and steady rise are helping build India’s image in the global equestrian world.
In May, Anush also performed well at the CDI 3* in Lier, Belgium. Riding his new horse, Etro, he scored 67.196% in their debut together, finishing among world-class competitors. He even qualified for the Grand Prix Special, an event reserved for the top 15 riders, marking an important achievement.
With his latest win in Germany, Anush and Floriana have proven they are a rising pair to watch. Their teamwork, skill, and early success show promise for many future victories.
