England wicketkeeper-batter Amy Jones has surged three spots to seventh in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings following a brilliant century against the West Indies. According to the ICC’s official update, Jones scored a superb 122 off 121 balls in the opening match of the three-match ODI series at Derby, helping England post a formidable total of 345/6 in 50 overs. The West Indies fell short, getting bowled out for 237. Jones now boasts a career-best 666 rating points, making her the second-highest ranked English batter, trailing only Nat Sciver-Brunt, who remains third with 726 points.

Her opening partner, Tammy Beaumont, also made significant gains, rising two places after scoring 107 off 104 deliveries. Their 222-run opening stand laid the foundation for England’s victory. Beaumont now sits at 11th in the rankings with 638 points, just 12 behind Australia’s Ash Gardner, who is tenth.

West Indies captain Hayley Matthews also had a strong performance. She took 2/49 from her 10 overs and scored 48 runs, climbing two spots to seventh in the ODI bowling rankings with 646 points. Matthews remains a standout all-rounder, holding fourth in batting and second in the all-rounder charts with a career-best rating of 448—just behind Gardner’s 470. With the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup set for late September, momentum is building in the women’s ODI format globally.
