The Foundation Day of Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, and Telangana was celebrated with great enthusiasm and cultural fervor at the Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru today.

The event featured a vibrant showcase of the rich art, culture, and traditions of the participating states. Folk dances, traditional music, and colorful performances captivated the audience, highlighting the unique heritage and diversity of each region.

Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, graced the occasion and congratulated all participating artists for their impressive and soulful performances. "Though languages and styles may differ, the essence remains the same — unity, dedication, and patriotism," the Governor said, lauding the cultural troupes from the six states.

Reflecting on the significance of the event, the Governor said, "India's strength lies in its diversity. Each state contributes its own distinct identity to the cultural mosaic of our nation. Celebrations like these, inspired by the vision of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, not only promote cultural exchange but also strengthen the bonds of national unity and mutual understanding."

He further remarked, “From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Kutch to Kamarupa, we take pride in being part of a nation where diverse cultures coexist harmoniously under one flag. I express my gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister and the Hon’ble Union Home Minister for initiating the celebration of State Foundation Days in Raj Bhavans across the country, which has fostered inter-state cultural integration.”
