Lucknow
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized the opposition for spreading negative propaganda about the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, asserting that their efforts failed to affect the people's faith. Speaking in the UP legislative assembly, he said, The misinformation spread had no effect on the public’s belief. Your attempts to create doubt were unsuccessful, as neither the people of Uttar Pradesh nor the country believed your claims. Soon, people will stop listening to you.
CM Yogi emphasized that the Mahakumbh showcased the state's ability to organize such a massive event, demonstrating Uttar Pradesh’s strength and India's potential on the global stage. He also spoke about the long-term benefits of the event for Prayagraj’s development, highlighting improvements in infrastructure.
The Chief Minister also took a jibe at the Samajwadi Party, accusing it of deviating from the principles of its founder, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia. He criticized the current leadership for abandoning Lohia’s values and for undermining national faith.
Responding to claims that the BJP is a communal party, CM Yogi defended his party’s inclusive vision, stressing the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas (Together with all, trust of all). He proudly stated that the Mahakumbh was organized without any caste, religion, or regional discrimination, uniting over 66 crore devotees from India and abroad.
CM Yogi also highlighted the event’s recognition by global media, calling it the largest gathering of humanity, and praised the use of technology to ensure a smooth and safe experience for attendees.
