Valsad-Dahod train cuts time, saves money; thanks PM Modi
Dahod
During his visit to Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a new electric locomotive manufacturing facility for Indian Railways. He also laid the foundation and launched development projects in Dahod worth over Rs 24,000 crore. Additionally, PM Modi flagged off two important train services — the Vande Bharat Express between Veraval and Ahmedabad, and a new express train connecting Valsad and Dahod.
The reopening of these train lines has made local people very happy. Residents of Valsad thanked the Prime Minister, saying the new trains will save them both time and money. Vipul Kumar, a local, shared his excitement about the Valsad-Dahod train line reopening, which had stopped operating earlier. He said that earlier, people had to travel by bus, which took a lot longer.
Another resident, Ambubhai Patel, said the train would greatly benefit the tribal community. He explained that traveling by bus was difficult and expensive because people had to change buses at Surat to reach Dahod and Baroda. He praised PM Modi for improving transport for tribals.
Hitesh, another local, said the new train is a great gift for passengers. The Valsad-Dahod Express will run daily, covering 346 km with 17 coaches, starting from Valsad at 5:50 a.m.
A woman from Junagadh, traveling on the Vande Bharat Express for the first time, said she was happy to visit the Somnath temple on this new train service connecting Somnath to Sabarmati.
