Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said the Congress must become a party of hope, focusing on the future with a positive message, not just criticism or memories of the past. Speaking at the AICC session in Gujarat, he emphasized the need for a fresh, forward-looking approach and urged party workers to unite and build a better India.

He said the Congress is ready to face future challenges and should send a strong message of revival from the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel. Referring to the recent elections, Tharoor noted that while the party saw improvement in the Lok Sabha results, it faced setbacks in state polls. He called for renewed efforts to rebuild lost voter trust.

Backing the AICC resolution, Tharoor said it should be a turning point for the party, focusing on constructive feedback and national unity. He stressed that the Congress’s nationalism is about justice, inclusion, and equal rights, as guaranteed by the Constitution, regardless of language, caste, or religion.

Tharoor also warned against attempts to divide the country, especially between the North and South, and called for unity through respect for regional identities. He said the youth want real solutions for today and hope for tomorrow. The party must focus on inclusive development and remain the voice of the unheard.

He concluded by acknowledging the hard work of grassroots workers, calling them the backbone of the party, without whom the resolution would mean nothing.
