Terrorists will be crushed anywhere, says PM Modi
Kanpur
Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a stern warning to Pakistan on Friday, accusing it of supporting terrorism and vowing a decisive response to any attack on India. Speaking at an event in Kanpur, Modi said India will target enemies “wherever they are found,” emphasizing that both state and non-state terrorists will be dealt with firmly. Using the local phrase, “Dushman kahin bhi ho, honk diya jayega,” he stressed India’s resolve to respond strongly to any aggression.
Modi dismissed Pakistan’s nuclear threats as empty and assured that such intimidation will not influence India’s strategic decisions. He outlined a clear anti-terrorism policy: every attack will receive a strong reply, the armed forces will decide the timing and manner of retaliation, and they will set the conditions for response.
Highlighting the importance of self-reliance, Modi praised the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign for strengthening India’s defense and economy. He cited Operation Sindoor, where Indian-made BrahMos missiles successfully struck deep inside enemy territory, as an example of India’s growing military prowess.
Recalling the days when India relied heavily on others for security, Modi said self-reliance now brings pride and economic growth. He warned enemies not to underestimate India’s military strength, recalling how terror camps in Pakistan were destroyed, forcing Pakistan to seek a ceasefire.
Modi also met the family of Shubham Dwivedi, a victim of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, saying their pain inspired Operation Sindoor. The Prime Minister inaugurated 15 development projects worth ₹47,600 crore and launched a new Kanpur Metro corridor during the event.
