President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. She praised the university as a modern center rooted in India’s ancient health traditions and appreciated that its advanced facilities benefit many people. Over 100 AYUSH colleges affiliated with the university are also gaining from its growth.

In her address, President Murmu shared her personal experience in public life, saying that serving people often requires personal sacrifice. She commended Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for improving healthcare, education, and agriculture in the region.

The President urged medical professionals and administrators to continue public welfare efforts. She reminded everyone to reflect on their responsibilities when entering any profession. Emphasizing that health is wealth, she encouraged people to lead healthy lives and practice yoga, especially those with sedentary routines. This, she said, supports India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
