PM Modi vows unimaginable punishment for Pahalgam terror attack

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong and emotional response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which took 26 innocent lives. Speaking during a rally in Bihar’s Madhubani, PM Modi promised that those responsible for the massacre would face consequences beyond their imagination.
Describing the attack on April 22 at Baisaran meadows as “an assault on the soul of India,” Modi declared, "India will identify, track and punish every terrorist and their backers." He also warned, "We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth. India's spirit will never be broken by terrorism."
To ensure the message reached global ears, PM Modi switched from Hindi to English, stating, “The entire nation is one in this resolve. Everyone who believes in humanity is with us...The punishment will be significant and stringent, which these terrorists would have never even thought about.”
Following his return from a shortened visit to Saudi Arabia, PM Modi chaired an emergency Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting. The government then launched a diplomatic offensive against Pakistan. Measures include suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, closing the Attari-Wagah border post, reducing diplomatic staff, and expelling Pakistani diplomats.
Additionally, Pakistanis are now barred from traveling to India under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme. The Resistance Front (TRF), linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the attack. The country now stands united, seeking justice for the lives lost.
