PM Modi unveils Gujarat projects worth ₹83k Cr

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day visit to Gujarat from May 26, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹82,950 crore across Bhuj, Dahod, and Gandhinagar.

On May 26, in Bhuj, he will launch 33 projects worth ₹53,414 crore spanning energy, roads, solar power, and port infrastructure. He will also lay the foundation stone for major transmission lines, solar PV projects, and a green hydrogen plant at Kandla.

Later, in Dahod, he will launch projects worth ₹24,000 crore, including the ₹21,405 crore Locomotive Manufacturing Shop and other railway infrastructure projects totaling ₹23,692 crore. He will also inaugurate safe drinking water schemes, urban housing, and Smart City projects.

On May 27, the Prime Minister will inaugurate projects worth ₹5,536 crore at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, covering urban development, water resources, health, and housing. He will launch Phase-3 of Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati Riverfront and over 22,000 PM Awas Yojana homes worth ₹1,006 crore.

PM Modi will inaugurate the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and lay the foundation for a new 1800-bed hospital in Ahmedabad. Additionally, ₹2,731 crore will be distributed to 17 municipal corporations and ₹569 crore to 149 municipalities under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana.

These projects aim to boost Gujarat’s infrastructure, promote sustainable energy, and improve public services, reinforcing the state’s position as a leading economic and industrial hub in India. The initiatives are expected to generate employment and enhance quality of life for residents.
