Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day tour starting May 29, visiting four states—Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh—to launch various development projects ahead of his third term anniversary on June 9.

His visit will begin in Sikkim, where he will attend the Sikkim50 event and inaugurate several projects, including a new 500-bed district hospital in Namchi, a passenger ropeway at Sangachoeling, and a statue of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Gangtok.

In West Bengal, Modi will lay the foundation stone for the City Gas Distribution project in Alipurduar and Cooch Behar, aiming to provide piped natural gas to thousands of households and create jobs.

In Bihar, he will inaugurate Patna airport’s new terminal and launch projects worth over Rs 48,520 crore, including the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project and various road and bridge constructions to boost energy security and infrastructure.

Finally, in Uttar Pradesh, Modi will inaugurate the Kanpur Metro section costing over Rs 2,120 crore and lay foundation stones for power and road projects worth around Rs 20,900 crore. He will also distribute certificates and cheques under several welfare schemes.

Modi’s tour highlights his focus on development and infrastructure across different regions, strengthening connectivity and improving living standards as his government approaches its anniversary.
