Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Motihari, Bihar, on July 18 to launch and dedicate various development projects worth over ₹7,200 crore. These projects cover key sectors including railways, roads, IT, rural development, and fisheries. He will also address a public gathering at 11:30 AM.

In the railway sector, the PM will inaugurate automatic signalling on the Samastipur-Bachhwara line and the doubling of the Darbhanga-Thalwara and Samastipur-Rambhadrapur rail sections, worth ₹580 crore. He will also lay the foundation stone for a Vande Bharat train maintenance facility at Patliputra, and for the doubling of the Darbhanga-Narkatiaganj line, along with signalling upgrades on the Bhatni-Chhapra Gramin route. These rail projects are valued at ₹4,080 crore.

He will flag off four new Amrit Bharat trains connecting Patna, Motihari, Darbhanga, and Malda with major cities like Delhi and Lucknow.

For better road connectivity, the PM will lay the foundation stones for the four-laning of the Ara bypass and the Parariya-Mohania section of NH-319, with a combined cost of ₹820 crore.

To boost Bihar’s digital and startup landscape, PM Modi will inaugurate the STPI centre in Darbhanga and an incubation hub in Patna.

Under the PM Matsya Sampada Yojana, fish hatcheries, biofloc units, and feed mills will be opened to support rural jobs.

Additionally, he will release ₹400 crore to 61,500 SHGs, hand over 12,000 PMAY-Gramin house keys, and release ₹160 crore for 40,000 more beneficiaries—highlighting a strong focus on rural upliftment and women's empowerment.
