Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins a landmark five-nation tour today, aiming to deepen India’s global partnerships. His journey includes Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties, development cooperation, and multilateral engagement.

The visit kicks off in Ghana, where PM Modi will meet President Nana Akufo-Addo to explore cooperation in energy, defence, and development. This marks his first official visit to the West African country.

Next, he travels to Trinidad and Tobago to boost India’s cultural and economic ties with the Caribbean nation. PM Modi will hold talks with President Christine Kangaloo and Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, and address a joint session of Parliament, highlighting shared heritage and global collaboration.

On July 5, the Prime Minister heads to Argentina to meet President Javier Milei. The focus will be on enhancing cooperation in trade, energy, agriculture, defence, and mining.

From there, he visits Brazil to attend the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro. Discussions will centre on global governance reforms, climate change, AI, and multilateralism.

The final stop is Namibia on July 9. In his first visit to the country, PM Modi will meet President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah to discuss sustainable development, energy, and wildlife conservation, especially following joint cheetah relocation efforts. The tour underscores India’s growing global role as a trusted partner.
