The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a supplementary chargesheet against two more suspects in the 2022 Kerala case involving recruitment into the banned CPI (Maoist) group, officials said Thursday. The accused are R Ragavendran (also called Raghavendra) and B G Krishnamurthy (also known as Vijay or Babanna). The case, registered in February 2022, focuses on recruiting youth into the Maoist armed wing, PLGA, and organizing camps to support their illegal activities aimed at destabilizing the country.

Krishnamurthy, a central committee member from Karnataka’s Chikkamagaluru district, trained recruits in weapons and ideology in the Western Ghats forests. He was part of the Kabani Dalam squad, which runs terror camps for underground cadres. Ragavendran, from Vellore, Tamil Nadu, was also involved in these camps. The NIA’s ongoing investigation aims to break down the Maoist network and stop their violent actions across India.
