NDA urged to support Manipur too: Dimple

Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav said the NDA’s protest against the cleric’s sexist remark would have carried more weight if similar outrage had been shown during the Manipur violence. The cleric, Maulana Sajid Rashid, reportedly made a derogatory comment about Yadav's sari, comparing her to fellow SP MP Iqra Hasan, who had covered her head. The remark drew criticism from BJP’s Bansuri Swaraj and Congress’ Renuka Chowdhury. Support now is welcome, but such unity was missing during Manipur’s disturbing incident, Yadav pointed out.
