Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of trying to manipulate Lourdu Mary, the widow of C. Singayya, who recently died after allegedly falling under the convoy of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Speaking in Kuppam, Naidu said the YSRCP is using the tragedy for political gain and pressuring the grieving family.

Singayya had gone to meet Reddy in Rentapalla, Palnadu district, on June 18 when the incident occurred at Etukuru Cross in Guntur. Though police initially denied Reddy’s convoy was involved, later evidence led to a case being registered.

Naidu criticised YSRCP’s actions, calling them reckless politics, and said their rule brought lawlessness, fake allegations, and economic mismanagement. He also accused them of tampering with land records, which his government is now fixing.

On development, Naidu announced a ₹250 crore subsidy for mango farmers and reaffirmed support for the Polavaram-Banakacharla project, ensuring no harm to Telangana’s irrigation efforts.
