The Madhya Pradesh Police have launched a special meditation program for their personnel and their families to help them manage stress, officials announced on Thursday. The initiative is part of a collaboration with Shri Ram Chandra Mission, a Hyderabad-based spiritual organization. Over 350 police officers from various units, along with their families, participated in the first training session held from April 18 to 21 at Kanha Shanti Vanam near Hyderabad. The program offers free training in Heartfulness Meditation, designed to improve mental well-being. ADGP Raja Babu Singh stated that those trained will teach others in districts across the state. The program recognizes the importance of family involvement, as they play a crucial role in the officers' well-being. With a police force of over one lakh securing a population of about five crore, stress levels are high, making this initiative vital. Inspector General Ruchi Vardhan Mishra assured that the program will expand statewide.
