MP: PM-KISAN scheme benefits farmers

Farmers in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh are greatly benefiting from the Central government’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, which supports small and marginal farmers financially, visited Barkheda village near Rajgarh to see how the scheme has helped local farmers. Many expressed relief and happiness at receiving timely financial aid, which has reduced their dependence on loans.

Farmers said the money helps them buy essential farming items like seeds, fertilisers, and equipment before the cropping season. One farmer shared, Thanks to PM-KISAN, we no longer need to take loans for farming needs. Another said, This scheme has eased my problems; I can manage on my own now. Several farmers praised Prime Minister Modi for the initiative, calling it a big help in improving their farming life.

Launched in 2019, the PM-KISAN scheme provides Rs 6,000 annually to eligible farmers. The amount is given in three instalments of Rs 2,000 directly into their bank accounts. This support has made farming less stressful for many in Rajgarh and helped them prepare better for each season. Farmers feel empowered and hopeful for the future because of this consistent financial aid.
