Hyderabad will host the much-anticipated Grand Finale of the 72nd Miss World pageant on Saturday evening at the HITEX Exhibition Centre. After a month filled with vibrant events, cultural activities, and tours of Telangana’s iconic tourist spots, 108 contestants from across the globe will compete for the prestigious Miss World crown in a spectacular celebration of beauty, talent, and humanitarian purpose.
The finale will be hosted by Miss World 2016 Stephanie del Valle and Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar. Bollywood stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter will add glamour with special performances. The judging panel features actor and humanitarian Sonu Sood—who will also receive the Miss World Humanitarian Award—alongside Sudha Reddy and philanthropist Caryna Turrell. Julia Morley CBE, Chairwoman of Miss World, will lead the jury and announce the winner, with former Miss World Manushi Chhillar also in attendance.
In the competition, 10 semifinalists from each continent will advance to the quarterfinals, totaling 40 contestants. Several semifinalists have already secured spots by winning fast-track challenges such as Top Model and Beauty With a Purpose, with the remaining names revealed during the finale.
Contestants will be further narrowed down to a Top 5, then Top 2, before the four continental winners answer a final question. The reigning Miss World, Krystyna Pyszková, will crown her successor. The pageant began on May 10, with Telangana showcasing heritage landmarks like Charminar and Ramappa Temple to the contestants.
