Miss World 2025 Begins, with Opening Ceremony

The 72nd Miss World pageant will kick off on May 10 with an opening ceremony at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, marking India's second consecutive year as host. Over 115 contestants from across the globe have arrived to compete, with more expected soon. The pageant emphasizes the theme Beauty with a Purpose, where each contestant represents their country with a unique mission.

This year, Nandini Gupta from Rajasthan represents India. Contestants from major pageant countries, including the USA, Venezuela, and South Africa, as well as regions like Guadeloupe and Gibraltar, are participating.

Rehearsals for the opening ceremony took place on Thursday, with contestants practicing stage movements and cultural segments. The venue is equipped with enhanced security, VIP enclosures, and safety protocols.

The event, which will feature cultural performances and presentations, will showcase Telangana’s heritage and culture. The grand finale is scheduled for May 31 at HITEX Exhibition Centre.
