Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri highlighted Pakistan's covert links to terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed. During a media briefing on Operation Sindoor, Misri questioned the practice of granting state funerals to terrorists, with military officials in attendance. He pointed out that the individuals targeted in India’s missile strikes were terrorists, and it was odd that Pakistan treated them as martyrs.

Misri also showed a photo of Hafiz Abdul Rauf, a high-ranking LeT commander and US-designated global terrorist, leading funeral prayers for those killed in the missile strikes. Rauf is linked to the 2008 Mumbai attacks, which killed 166 people. He was designated as a global terrorist by the U.S. Treasury in 2010.

Misri also condemned Pakistan's recent targeted attack on the Sikh community in Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to several others. He further criticized Pakistan’s opposition to the mention of The Resistance Front (TRF) in the UNSC, despite the fact that TRF had claimed responsibility for attacks in the region.

He emphasized that India’s response to Pakistan’s provocations was measured and non-escalatory, focusing only on eliminating terrorist infrastructure. Misri dismissed Pakistan's claims about shooting down Indian jets, describing them as fabrications dating back to the country’s founding.

He warned Pakistan against further aggression, saying that any escalation would be met with an appropriate response. Misri also referenced India’s successful neutralization of Pakistan’s air defense systems during Operation Sindoor.
