Shiv Sena MP Milind Deora has called on Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to conduct a detailed audit of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants residing across the state. In a letter to the Chief Minister, Deora emphasized the need for stringent action against staffing agencies that fail to verify documents before hiring individuals. His request comes after a Bangladeshi immigrant was arrested in connection with the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan, drawing attention to growing concerns over illegal immigration.

Deora stressed that the safety and security of Maharashtra must be prioritized, especially following the recent incident involving Khan. He urged the state government to carry out a thorough audit of illegal immigrants, involving district officials, local municipalities, and law enforcement agencies to verify and take action against undocumented individuals.

Furthermore, Deora highlighted the role of staffing agencies in employing immigrants without proper documentation. He recommended implementing strict regulations that would require these agencies to thoroughly verify documents before offering jobs. He also proposed penalties for non-compliance, such as fines and license cancellations, and called for regular inspections to ensure adherence to these rules.

In his letter, Deora underlined the importance of maintaining a balance between inclusivity and ensuring the safety and security of Maharashtra’s citizens and businesses.
