A woman in the city accused a Rapido bike rider of sending an unwanted message asking for her flat number, followed by a suggestion that he would visit if she didn't call him. Alarmed, she informed her husband, who caught the driver outside their apartment building, recorded the incident, and shared it on social media. The driver was handed over to the building's security, but police reported no official complaint had been filed.

The video quickly gained attention online, with many praising the husband for his quick response. Rapido responded by stating that the driver's behavior was unacceptable, and he had been permanently removed from their platform. They also assured they would improve their driver verification process and offered legal support to the woman.

The accused, identified as Manjar Alam, admitted to using a colleague's ID for the ride-hailing account. The woman’s husband later filed a formal complaint, stating he wanted to teach the driver a lesson.
