The Jammu and Kashmir State Investigation Agency (SIA) made a significant breakthrough in its drug trafficking investigation by arresting a key suspect from Punjab. Harjit Singh, a resident of Kasel in Tarn Taran district, was detained by SIA officers. He is linked to an international narcotics network, coordinating drug consignments across borders.

Harjit played a crucial role in connecting Amritpal Singh alias Fouji, already in custody, with the elusive kingpin, Amritpal Singh Baath, believed to be abroad. Operating from his shop, Harjit coordinated the movement of heroin consignments, collected from Jammu's border areas and delivered to Baath's associates in Punjab.

Officials hope this arrest will reveal more about the cartel's structure and its ties to cross-border narco-terror operations. The investigation is ongoing, with more arrests and revelations expected. The suspect was apprehended after reliable information led to a special check near Akhnoor's bus stand.
