Infosys expands Hyderabad campus, creating 17,000 jobs

Infosys Ltd, India's second-largest IT services company, and the Telangana government have decided to further enhance their strategic partnership with the expansion of Infosys’ IT campus in Pocharam. This expansion will create an additional 17,000 jobs. An official statement from the government on Thursday revealed that this announcement was made at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The news came following a meeting between Infosys CFO Jayesh Sanghrajka and Telangana's IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu.
The new expansion plans will add 17,000 jobs to the Pocharam Campus, where Infosys already employs over 35,000 people, making it one of their largest campuses in the country. The construction of new IT buildings in the first phase, with an investment of Rs 750 crores, will be completed in the next 2-3 years and will accommodate 10,000 people.
This collaboration showcases Telangana’s proactive approach to supporting industry leaders and fostering sustainable growth in the technology sector. Jayesh Sanghrajka stated that the partnership with the Telangana government reflects a shared vision of driving innovation, empowering communities, and strengthening the IT landscape.
Sridhar Babu emphasized the state government's commitment to nurturing talent, creating opportunities, and building strategic alliances to boost the state's economy.
