Indian Navy hosts Chiefs’ Conclave 2025
NEW DELHI
The Indian Navy’s Chiefs’ Conclave 2025 was held at Naval Headquarters, New Delhi, on February 8, bringing together eight former Naval Chiefs to share their experiences and insights. The event focused on operational updates, policy initiatives, technological advancements, and future maritime strategies.
The Indian Navy stated on X, “The conclave aims to gain from the collective experience of the eight former Naval Chiefs attending the event. They were presented with an operational update, including policy initiatives, technological and logistical advancements, and long-term perspective plans at the new Nausena Bhawan.” A key session, ‘Manthan,’ facilitated an open exchange of ideas on future warfare, maritime strategy, and evolving geopolitical and human resource paradigms. A special book, “Legacy of Leadership: Naval Chiefs through Time,” was also released. This collector’s edition chronicles the inspiring journeys of former Chiefs of Naval Staff through personal stories, rare photographs, and first-hand accounts.
The Chief of Naval Staff reaffirmed the Navy’s commitment to safeguarding national maritime interests, stating, “We are committed to carrying forward your illustrious legacy.” The conclave comes as the Navy accelerates its self-reliance efforts, with 60 warships under construction and key acquisitions, including fighter jets and submarines, underway. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated three indigenously built combat platforms—two warships and a submarine—to the nation, marking a major step toward a self-sufficient 21st-century Indian Navy.
