India to host next Global AI Action Summit: PM Modi

In his closing remarks at the inaugural Global AI Action Summit on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended an offer to host the next summit in India. The summit, co-chaired by Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron, highlighted the shared goals and unified vision among global stakeholders for artificial intelligence (AI) development.
PM Modi emphasized the global nature of the AI partnership, stating, "To build on the momentum of this Action Summit, India would be happy to host the next Summit."
He also expressed his support for the establishment of the ‘AI Foundation’ and the ‘Council for Sustainable AI’, which were announced at the summit, and congratulated President Macron and France for these initiatives.
Further, Modi called for a more inclusive “Global Partnership for AI,” ensuring the concerns and priorities of the Global South are addressed, making it truly global and equitable.
