The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has launched an Intensified Special NCD Screening Campaign to address the growing burden of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in India. Running from February 20 to March 31, 2025, the initiative aims for 100% screening of individuals aged 30 and above for Diabetes, Hypertension, and three common cancers—Oral, Breast, and Cervical.

The campaign will be conducted nationwide through Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) and other healthcare facilities under the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NP-NCD). To maximize reach, ASHAs, ANMs, and frontline workers will conduct door-to-door visits. States and Union Territories (UTs) will ensure essential medical supplies, including BP monitors and glucometers, are available at all centers.

Real-time data on screenings, treatments, and follow-ups will be uploaded daily on the NP-NCD portal for transparency. Nodal officers at various levels will oversee smooth implementation, with states and UTs providing daily updates to the Ministry.

This campaign focuses on early detection and timely treatment to reduce NCD-related complications, lower healthcare costs, and improve overall well-being. As part of the Ayushman Bharat initiative, the government remains committed to strengthening preventive healthcare and ensuring universal access to quality health services, moving toward a healthier, NCD-free India.
