On Wednesday, the Delhi High Court ordered the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) to revise and republish the final selection list for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) UG 2025. The court gave the Consortium a four-week deadline to comply. The Division Bench, led by Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, directed that the revised marksheet and selection list be applied to all petitioners and candidates involved in disputed questions. It also called for benefits to be granted to eligible candidates.

The court previously highlighted the need for qualified paper setters to avoid similar issues in the future and emphasized resolving challenges related to UG admissions quickly. The bench stressed the importance of finalizing undergraduate admissions separately from postgraduate issues to prevent delays. Senior Advocate Rajshekhar Rao, representing the Consortium, presented arguments about contested questions in the CLAT 2025 UG exam.

The court is reviewing several petitions challenging the exam results, which were transferred to the Delhi High Court from various High Courts for consistency. The Consortium has acknowledged these petitions and agreed to provide detailed summaries of disputed questions. The CLAT 2025 exam is crucial for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at India’s top National Law Universities. Several petitions allege errors in the exam, raising concerns about fairness and transparency.
