Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended a key coordination meeting on Sunday with senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionaries in Nagpur. The gathering was part of the annual meeting of the RSS Vidarbha province and was held at the Hedgewar Smriti Mandir complex in Reshimbag.

The meeting was attended by prominent RSS leaders from the Vidarbha region, including the provincial chief, deputy chief, and Nagpur metropolitan chief. Senior office-bearers from both the RSS and affiliated organizations were also present, emphasizing the importance of the event in the broader coordination between the Sangh Parivar and the BJP.

Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the Maharashtra BJP president, was among the notable attendees. While official details of the discussions remain undisclosed, sources suggest that the meeting focused on reviewing ongoing organizational activities, upcoming strategies, and grassroots-level coordination in Maharashtra, particularly in the Vidarbha region.

Such meetings are part of the regular annual schedule for the RSS and its affiliates and serve as a platform to align ideological and operational goals. They often include discussions on socio-political developments, party outreach, and future planning.

Held against the backdrop of shifting political equations in Maharashtra, the meeting has drawn attention, though party and RSS sources maintain it was routine in nature. The Hedgewar Smriti Mandir, named after RSS founder Dr. K.B. Hedgewar, frequently serves as the venue for these significant discussions, symbolizing the ideological roots of the Sangh’s activities in the region.
