The National Defence Academy (NDA) celebrated a historic moment on Friday as its first-ever batch of 17 women cadets graduated among 336 cadets from the 148th Course - Spring Term 2025. The Passing Out Parade (POP) was held at the Khetarpal Parade Ground in Khadakwasla, Maharashtra, with a total of 1,341 cadets participating. The event was reviewed by Mizoram Governor and retired General VK Singh.

The parade showcased the cadets’ successful completion of tough military and academic training, highlighted by precision, discipline, and strong military bearing. The ceremony was led by Adjutant Lt Col Praveen Kumar Tiwari and commanded by Academy Cadet Captain Udayveer Singh Negi, who impressed with his leadership.

Awards were presented to outstanding cadets: Battalion Cadet Adjutant Prince Raj received the President's Gold Medal, Academy Cadet Captain Udayveer Singh Negi earned the Silver Medal, and Battalion Cadet Captain Tejas Bhatt was awarded the Bronze Medal. The prestigious Chiefs of Staff Banner went to the Golf Squadron for overall excellence.

The parade ended with a spectacular flypast featuring Chetak helicopters, Super Dimona gliders, and Sukhoi-30 fighter jets, symbolizing the cadets’ readiness for their military careers. The event was attended by families, dignitaries, students, civilians, and armed forces personnel.

This Passing Out Parade marks a significant milestone for the NDA, welcoming women cadets into its legacy of training future military leaders who will serve the nation with honour and courage.
