Congress to Launch Nationwide 'Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Constitution' Campaign on January 27
Bhopal
The Congress party is set to kick off its nationwide campaign titled 'Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Constitution' from Mahu, Madhya Pradesh, the birthplace of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, on January 27, 2024. This announcement was made by Congress General Secretary Jitendra Singh on Saturday.
Singh also commented on the recent controversy surrounding Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, who has faced backlash over remarks made about Ambedkar. He stated that the campaign will continue until Shah formally apologizes and resigns.
Prominent leaders participating in the campaign will include Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, MP Priyanka Gandhi, along with Chief Ministers and key leaders from states where Congress is in power.
Jitendra Singh accused the BJP of using derogatory language in Parliament and state assemblies, asserting a lack of faith in the Constitution. He claimed that under the BJP's 'Hitler-like' rule, incidents of violence against SC, ST, OBC, and Dalit communities have increased across the country. He reiterated that Congress is committed to fighting for people's rights and the protection of the Constitution.
