In a move to improve civic amenities in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday inaugurated a new water pipeline at BC East, Shalimar Bagh. This step is expected to boost water supply and speed up road repair work in the area.

Addressing local residents, CM Gupta said, Starting today, water will be supplied through this new line. You will receive water every morning from 6 am to 8 am, and in the evening for about 30 minutes. Earlier, there was no evening supply—this is a change for your benefit.

She also announced the immediate start of road repairs. Work to fix damaged roads begins today and will be completed within a month. Materials have also been brought in to begin improving the central park, turning it into a cleaner, more enjoyable space for everyone, she added.

These efforts are part of the Delhi government’s larger mission to upgrade facilities in residential colonies and ensure timely delivery of basic services.

On Sunday, CM Gupta reaffirmed her commitment to inclusive development at a BJP event. She thanked party workers for helping the BJP return to power in Delhi after 27 years and said governance would follow the nation first principle.

As projects roll out across Delhi, citizens have been urged to stay informed and work with local civic bodies.
