In a shocking incident in Gujarat's Bharuch district, six villagers were arrested for allegedly using a bulldozer to demolish houses, including that of a man suspected of eloping with a married woman. The incident took place on March 21 in Kareli village.

According to Vedach police inspector BM Chaudhary, the accused, including the woman’s family members, believed the man, from another community, had run away with her. Enraged, they took matters into their own hands, damaging six houses belonging to the Fulmali community.

The woman's parents, who live in Anklav taluka of Anand district, filed a complaint after she allegedly eloped. The accused, including Hemant, Sunil, Balwant, Soham, and Chirag Padhiyar, had warned the man’s family to produce him within two days before resorting to violence.

Following a complaint from the man's mother, police arrested all six accused, including the bulldozer driver. The matter is under investigation.
