Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted the growing complexities of global security during his address at the Defence Ministers' conclave in Bengaluru. He pointed out that the distinction between border security and internal security is becoming less clear due to the rise of hybrid warfare, which can target critical infrastructure even during peacetime.

Singh explained that the world is becoming increasingly unpredictable, with new power dynamics, disruptive technologies, and the growing role of non-state actors. These factors contribute to a more fragile global order, challenging established concepts of sovereignty, especially in cyberspace and outer space. He also noted that terrorism, cybercrime, and climate-induced disasters now transcend borders and require a united global response.

Discussing India's defence capabilities, Singh emphasized that India has become a preferred partner for defence exports due to its commitment to quality and reliability. He affirmed that India is equipped to meet diverse global defence needs, offering both advanced technology and cost-effective solutions.

He further stressed the importance of India's vision for peace, security, and inclusive development, based on Prime Minister Modi’s five 'S' approach: Respect (Samman), Dialogue (Samvaad), Cooperation (Sahyog), Peace (Shanti), and Prosperity (Samriddhi). Singh concluded by asserting that innovative solutions and stronger international partnerships are essential in addressing the evolving global security challenges.
